Early in the morning 5 representatives of the Yezidi community of the village of Lchashen burnt themselves with petrol opposite the RA President’s residence. A fire brigade and an ambulance car arrived at the site and took the victims to hospital.
The participants of the protest action were the members of Qyaram Avdalyan’s family: 11-14-year-old four children and their grandmother. They protested against the inactivity of the justice structures. The thing is that 42-year-old Qyaram Avdalyan was beaten to death. A 72-year-old disabled person has been arrested: nevertheless, the family of the victim is sure that they have arrested the wrong man as before that the heads of the village had problems with Qyaram Avdalyan in connected with his territories.
Not only the family of the victim, but also about 30 representatives of the Yezidi community had come to at the site. Two of them are at present talking to the RA Public Prosecutor.
By the way, Robert Kocharyan was not in his residence: he had left for Gyumri earlier.
