Armenia Should Decide to What Extend to Deepen Relations with NATO

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Kurt Volker, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, said that Armenia should decide to what extend it wishes to deepen relations with NATO. “The state should be develop democracy, have market economy and work for elimination of corruption. Relations with NATO is individual for each state,” he remarked. When speaking of Georgia Mr Volker said, “We welcome Georgia’s aspiration to deepen relations with NATO.” He reminded that in September Georgia was invited to ‘intense dialogue with the Alliance’. It’s not clear which states will receive proposals to enter NATO in 2008 but our doors are always open,” he emphasized, reports RFE/RL.
