YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS: Armenian nuclear power plant in Metsamor was brought to a halt on October 1 evening for a planned regular maintenance and refueling.
Plant director Gagik Markosian said apart from routine maintenance work also a special system will be installed to raise the plant’s safety.
The plant will be reconnected to the country’s power grid in 45 days. Meantime local hydro power plants will increase power production to fill the gap.
