/PanARMENIAN.Net/ French President Jacques Chirac will pay tree-day official visit to Armenia September 29, Armenian Ambassador to France Edvard Nalbandyan stated in an interview with the Public TV Company of Armenia. “Chirac is arriving in the region for the first time and he will visit only Armenia,” the diplomat said, adding the visit program is already confirmed. In his words, Chirac will be accompanied by his spouse Bernadette Chirac.
“The French delegation will include ministers, MPs, Senators, state and political figures, businessmen, culture figures,” Nalbandyan reported. Official talks of the presidents, as well as meetings of French ministers with their Armenian counterparts are planned in the course of the visit, he said. He specially noted two events in the program of Chirac’s visit. “These are the opening of the Square of France and Charles Aznavour concert in the Republic Square in Yerevan on September 30, which will open the Year of Armenia in France,” Nalbandyan said. Chirac’s visit will finish October 1.
