Hrant Dink – Recep Tayip Erdogan

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Prosecutor’s Office of Istanbul has not ceased the case regarding journalists, accused in insulting «Turkish identity,» editor of the Agos newspaper, issued in Turkey, Hrant Dink, who is one of the accused on the case, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. In his words, package of documents for appealing to the European Court is being formed now. «The charges are not canceled, but I hope it will happen in the near future,» he remarked.

At that Dink noted that the society in Turkey is very polarized at present. «Not all Turks want EU accession. Especially that presidential and parliamentary elections are expected in the country next year, the EU membership is exaggerated by various parties. PM Erdogan represents Islamic circles, who do not strive for Europe that much. I should say that nationalism in Turkish society acquires larger number of proponents. However, I do not think Erdogan will become President,» Agos newspaper editor believes.
