IN 12 YEARS 1 MILLION TREES WERE PLANTED IN ARMENIA

Yerevan, August 3. ArmInfo. This year, in the course of realization of the Program for Tree Planting about 500 thousand tree were planted in Armenia. The press service of the program informed ArmInfo about this.

According to the source, in May-April about 350 thousand trees were planted near the Getik river. In fact, 400 acres of forest area was fully restored. The residents of the neighboring villages were also engaged in the tree planting activities. This helped 118 socially insecure families improve their financial state.

It’s worth mentioning that the Program for Tree Planting is carried out in Armenia since 1994. In 12 years over 1 million trees were planted in Armenia and NKR.
