YEREVAN, JULY 20, ARMENPRESS: The mounting war in the Middle East is compelling members of a relatively small Armenian community of Israel to seek refuge in safe Armenia. A spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Karapetian said Armenian diplomats in Israel were looking for the best way to evacuate a group of 100 Armenians to Yerevan. Meantime the Armenian ambassador to Lebanon, Vahan Ter-Ghevondian, said more Armenian nationals were bused from Beirut to nearby Syrian Aleppo from where they will be flown to Yerevan. He said some 50-60 Armenians, registered in the embassy, were waiting for their documents to be finalized to be flown to Armenia.
