Torosian: No Measures Taken against Turkish Diplomat in Yerevan

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On returning to Istanbul NATO PA Vice-president, Turkish diplomat Vahit Erdem, who was visiting Armenia within the NATO PA delegation, told Turkish media that he was deprived of the office car and guard because of his statements on the Armenian Genocide. “There was no genocide perpetrated against Armenians in 1915, these are tales of ideologists,” he said in Yerevan. “As result Erdem had to wrap up his visit and go to the airport by taxi. In the airport the NATO PA had to join the queue,” reports Trend news agency quoting Turkish media.

As Armenian Parliament Speaker Tigran Torosian told PanARMENIAN.Net there is nothing strange with this demarche. “If Azerbaijan and Turkey can refute the statement by the Azeri Milli Mejlis Speaker that was read in the presence of hundred of people, they can easily invent “measures” against a Turkish diplomat,” he said. Torosian sharply refuted the information spread by Azeri and Turkish media. “Vahit Erdem left Armenia within the NATO PA delegation and nothing was taken away from him,” the RA NA chairman said.
