YEREVAN, JUNE 7, ARMENPRESS: Juan-Pablo Guechigian, the chief manager of Armenia’s major Zvartnots airport, that was leased by Argentinean Corporacion America for 30 years, said today construction of the passenger terminal will be over in 2007 May. But he said before the four-floor building is commissioned, the new building’s departure hall will start operation in September of 2006. He said the departure hall will have the capacity of handling around 1000 passengers a day. According to him, when constructed the new terminal will be able to handle around 2 million passengers a year.
