KOCHARIAN AND ALIYEV TO DISCUSS KARABAKH CONFLICT IN BUCHAREST

YEREVAN, JUNE 2, ARMENPRESS: Armenian president Robert Kocharian will fly to Romania on June 4 on a two-day visit to attend the Black Sea Dialogue and Partnership summit.

Kocharian’s press office said Romania, that has initiated the summit, views regional dialogue as a key factor for ensuing regional stability, which in turn may create favorable conditions for economic development and promote consolidation of Black Sea countries’ positions in the united Europe. The press service said president Kocharian is expected to deliver a speech at the summit. He is also scheduled to have a meeting with Romania’s president Trayan Basescu and other bilateral meetings.

In Bucharest Kocharian and Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev will hold another round of talks over the Karabakh conflict, which are supposed to be started by Armenian and Azeri foreign ministers, the OSCE chairman-in-Office, Belgian foreign minister Karel de Gucht, the OSCE Minsk group cochairmen form Russia, France and the USA and Andrzey Kasprzyk, the personal envoy of the OSCE chairman-in-office. This will be followed by Kocharian-Aliyev face-to-face talks.
