Fr. Vazken Movsesian becomes Principal for a day

By the invitation of Michael Escalante, Ed. D., the Superintendent of the Glendale Unified School District, Rev. Fr. Vazken Movsesian.

Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Church Youth Center in Glendale, will serve as Principal for a Day at Toll Middle School in Glendale on Tuesday, February 28, 2006.

The Principal for a Day Program allows the community’s most active professional and organizational leaders to learn the complexities of managing a school campus and the challenges of dealing with issues faced daily by the administration.

Since 2003 Fr. Vazken has been in the middle of the Glendale school scene through the mentoring and tutoring program. This program will allow him an opportunity to work closely with administrators for the benefit of the students.

“The selection of Fr. Vazken Movsesian as Principal for a Day of Toll Middle School brings us great joy,” said His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. “We are confident that the day will leave a spiritual impact on the life of the students and lead them closer to God Almighty.”
