55 AIRCRAFT REGISTERED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, NOYAN TAPAN. As of January 1 of this year,

55 aircraft – 53 planes and 2 helicopters were registered at the

RA State Register of Aircraft. According to the Main Department of

the RA Civil Aviation, about 20 airlines have licences to operate

aircraft in Armenia. They carry out both regular and not regular

air transportation. About half of them operate aircraft outside

Armenia. The Armenian airlines Armavia and Gymri Airways carry out

regular passenger transportation from the country’s airports. They

operate direct flights from over 40 cities of Europe, CIS, the Near

and Middle East.
