FRENCH PRESIDENT HOPES FOR FINAL PEACE DEAL BETWEEN ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: France’s president Jacques Chirac said today there were real possibilities for placing the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani dispute over Nagorno-Karabakh on real grounds. Chirac made the statement after having separate meetings with Armenian and Azeri presidents Robert Kocharian and Ilham Aliyev in Paris today.
A spokesman for the French president quoted Chirac as saying that he was receiving Armenian and Azeri presidents with a hope that their talks will open a path to new prospects of peace.” Armenian and Azeri presidents will hold face-to-face closed talks later today in a Paris outskirt Rambouillet.
