YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 3. ARMINFO. The artists who performed at State Kremlin Palace of Conference at the opening of “The Year of Armenia in Russia” were underpaid the daily allowance. The Russian party undertook all the expenses for arrival, stay and food of 300 participants of the Armenian delegation, said Director of State Philharmonic Society of Armenia Laert Movsisyan at a press conference in Yerevan, Thursday. He was dissatisfied with the poor acoustics in the concert hall either. He was especially surprised at improvisation of the performance by singer Flora Martirosyan by the Russian creative director i.e. the Armenian national song was “accompanied” by a circus performance. Creative Director of the Children Chorus “Little Singers” Tigran Hekekyan stated: “We have never faced such a devil-may- care attitude to our culture. Such is the truth about the concert at the Kremlin.”
Only the national artist of Armenia, Chairman of the Union of Dance Art of Armenia Vanush Khanamiryan displayed a neutral attitude to the organization skills of the Russian party. Armenians like complaining of trifles, he said. He was satisfied with the opportunity to perform at the concert of Armenian-Russian friendship and the full concert hall. “We managed to show our Armenian history, culture – what else did we need? Such was the goal of our visit,” V. Khanamiryan said.
