YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2. ARMINFO. A conference “Armenian Day” convened at St. Ephrem Ecumenical Scientific-Research Institute in the Indian town of Kottayam on January 28. Over 150 scientists from different states attended the event.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry press-service told ARMINFO. The event initiator was a specialist in the Armenian language, Professor of St. Ephrem Institute and Catholic University of the Belgian town of Luven Andrea Schmidt. Reports on the Armenian miniature by Belgian and Swiss specialists were heard at the conference. The conference participants came out for more fundamental teaching the Armenian language at universities. They proposed including a subject on Caucasian surveys in the educational program of the International Relations Schools of M. Gandhi University.
