Yerevan, January 25, /PanArmenian.Net/ The more frequent are the visits of the OSCE MG Co-Chairs to the conflict region the more active are the talks between the conflicting parties, French Ambassador to Armenia Henry Cuny stated at a press conference. According to him, confidentiality and restraint of the talks are very important. “Everything is complicated and delicate. All those who attach importance to the peaceful settlement of the conflict should not take moves that could jeopardize the process. I want to be optimistic and hope that considerable progress will be observed soon. But as we know the closer to the target the harder is the process,” the Ambassador noted.
When touching upon the Turkey’s membership in the European Union, Henry Cuny noted that it will become possible after it settles all the matters with the neighbor-states. “If Turkey wishes to join Europe, it should do it with open borders,” the Ambassador underscored adding that Turkey should not wait till the completion of the talks but undertake precise steps now, reported IA Regnum.
