Birth Rate Down In Karabakh In 2005

Stepanakert , 23 January: According to information of the Stepanakert
office of civil registration, 754 babies were born; 320 marriages,
85 divorces and 407 deaths were registered in the capital of Nagornyy
Karabakh in 2005.

In 2004, 782 babies were born; 322 marriages, 37 divorces and 433
deaths were registered, our correspondent in Stepanakert reported.

From 1 till 13 January 2006, 24 babies were born in Stepanakert:
12 boys and 12 girls. Two girls were born in the NKR capital on the
first night of the New Year.
