ARMENIA´s FOREIGN DEBT STANDS $1.1 BILLION

YEREVAN, JANUARY 23, ARMENPRESS: Armenia’s foreign debt made $1.1 billion by the end of 2005, according to finance and economy ministry. It said the foreign debt will make approximately 23 percent of 2005 GDP, substantially down from 33 percent in 2004 GDP.
Finance and economy minister Vartan Khachatrian told reporters last weakened that the management of domestic debt also improved. He said the average yield from state treasury bonds was 7.3 percent with average maturity period of 1,101 days. The ministry also issued last year short-term bonds with the lowest yield rate of 3.2 percent.
