ISTANBUL (18/01/2006) – His Beatitude Mesrob II, Armenian Patriarch of Istanbul and All Turkey, presided over the Sunday Liturgy, on 15 January 2006, at 11:00 hours, in the Armenian Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator on Kinali Island. The Patriarch spoke on the meaning of the wedding at Cana, where the Lord Jesus performed his first miracle. Following the Liturgy, Melkonian Educational Institute’s Founders’ Day was observed as a service was held fort the repose of the souls of Krikor and Garabed Melkonian who had, together with Patriarch Zaven Der Yeghyaian of blessed memory, established the Melkonian Educational Institute in Nicosia, Cyprus.
