Skating-Rink of Yerevan `Swan Lake´ Opens

Yerevan, December 14, Noyan Tapan. The solemn opening ceremony of the skating-rink of “Swan Lake” of Yerevan took place on December 14 with participation of RA President Robert Kocharian. The skating-rink with surface of 1033 square meters will operate during the months of November-March and will be free. 100 people may be on the skating-rink at the same time.
According to Frunze Basentsian, the Chief of the Improvement, Construction and Communal Economy Department of the Yerevan Mayor’s Office, the construction of the skating-rink which lasted for 7 months was implemented by the “Sahakianshin” and Moscow “Efkarest” companies. The sum of 450 mln drams (about 1 mln US dollars) envisaged by the pre-accounting was spent on the construction works.
