BRITISH TROUPE PERFORMS A PLAY FOR ARMENIAN CHILDREN

The children from various Yerevan schools and orphanages had the opportunity to watch the performances of the British “Chipolatas” troupe at the Yerevan state Puppet Theatre. This troup consisting of three young actors was formed in 1992 in Great Britain. The performances combine elements of the circus, musical and dancing styles. The actors stated that their plays are interesting for not only adults but for children, too. They represent folk tales and contemporary stories in their performances.

“Everyone enjoys his time here, both the spectators and we, the actors,” said one of the British actors during the press conference. They said they are playing everywhere, in the theatres of cities and even in the streets.

The actors are friends from childhood. They compose plays together.

The troupe has performed plays in 35 countries of the world. It is in Armenia by the invitation of the British Council.
