`HAYFILM´ STUDIO TO SIGN AGREEMENT ON MAKING `40 DAYS OF MOUSA MOUNTAIN´ FILM

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12. ARMINFO. “Hayfilm” studio is close to signing agreement on making “40 Days of Mousa Mountain” film based on the novel of Franz Verfel. The budjet of the film will amount to $35 mln. Gevorg Gevorgian, head of “Hayfilm” studio, said this at today’s press conference, without naming the potential partner.

He said that “Gafeschian Family” Fund purchased the studio in August, this year. The fund also received the copyright for all the original copies of the classical Armenian films, kept in the central film acheive in Moscow. The studio is going to rewrite the original copies into digital formate.The studio will also make the restoration works of all the films produced by “Hayfilm,” using “Da Vinci” restoration system.

Gevorgain also said that they also purchased the most contemporary equipment for the studio. A New York based architecture company is currently making the plans for the renovation works of the studio’s edifice. Besides, the Art Council, inlcuding many outstanding figures of the Armneian cinema, will start its activities at “Hayfilm,” very soon.
