Russian official: Yerevan and Baku should find mutually acceptable solution themselves

YEREVAN (YERKIR) – Armenia and Azerbaijan should find a mutually acceptable solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict themselves, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.

“Welcoming the continuation of the Armenian-Azeri dialogue, Russia proceeds from the provision that the conflict participants should find a mutually acceptable solution on their own,” Mikhail Kamynin has indicated. He has also pointed out that Russia “is ready to actively provide assistance both in bilateral respect and as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair country and guarantee the agreement reached.” Speaking of the Russian-Armenian relations, Kamynin has noted that those relations have recently “acquired a character of strategic allied partnership and are marked with positive development dynamics.”
