NKR Head Called Armenians of World to Participate in TV Marathon for Collection of Funds for Karabakh

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ NKR President Arkady Ghukasian, who in the U.S. at present, holds meetings dated to the upcoming TV Marathon for the collection of funds for Artsakh Renaissance program. Yesterday A. Ghukasian met with well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist Kaytsak Zetlian. NKR parliament speaker Ashot Gulian, chair of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles branch of Hayastan Foundation Maria Mehranian were also present at the meeting. The parties discussed the possibilities of assisting the NKR economy and outlined a number of measures to be undertaken in this direction.

Earlier Arkady Ghukasian and the members of his delegation visited the city of Montebello to take part in the exhibition-fair of Karabakh carpets organized by the committee of twin cities of Stepanakert and Montebello. The NKR President thanked the exhibition initiators for the assistance in strengthening cultural ties between Stepanakert and Montebello and stressed the necessity of further cooperation. NKR parliament speaker Ashot Gulian familiarized the attendees with the Artsakh Renaissance program and called upon them to make a contribution to the reconstruction and facilitation of the Martakert region, which most of all suffered from the hostilities.

Americans for Artsakh Montebello-based organization arranged a reception in honor of the guests. The soiree took place in the residence of well-known U.S. entrepreneurs of Armenian origin Bedros and Ani Orunjakchel. It was attended by honorary guests including heads of the Western Dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church Hovnan Derderian and Musegh Martirosian, who delivered speeches.

For his part Arkady Ghukasian expressed gratitude to the hosts for the readiness to support the development of Karabakh. At that he stressed that the “tri-unity of Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora is the deposit of the present and future achievements of the Armenian nation. He called upon Armenians of the world to take part in the TV Marathon on November 24, reported IA Regnum.
