LIMASOL, NOVEMBER 18. ARMINFO. A scuffle took place during the opening ceremony of the 4th WKF World junior and Cadet Championships in Limasol, Cyprus.
An Armenian and an Azeri caratekas began squabbling and then beating one another. As a result the Armenian sportsman lost his teeth and was taken to hospital.
World Karate Federation has disqualified the Armenian and Azeri teams from the championship while the Azeri team has been prohibited from participating in all this year’s events.
