A group of Turkish nationalists calling for the removal of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from Turkey returned to the Fener in Istanbul today repeating a protest event that took place about two weeks ago.
This time, about 150 individuals gathered outside the Patriarchate chanting slogans in favor of the Patriarchate’s relocation in Greece before finally dispersing.
Strong police forces were in the region as the protest had been announced in advance in nationalist press.
