Armenian Jews celebrate with One set of Lulav and Etrog

YEREVAN, Armenia – On the evening of October 17th, Jews of Yerevan joined one another at the ‘Mordechai Navi’ Community Center for a festive Sukkot gathering. The festivity commenced with a prayer, which raised great excitement among participants.

Community members were nervous over the delay in receiving the Arba Minim sets. The vehicle transporting them to Armenia from Georgia had broken down on the way.After congratulating everyone on the holiday, he explained the meaning of Sukkot and invited participants to enjoy a festive lunch in a sukka, which featured plenty of fruit and traditional dishes.

It was soon announced that the car carrying the Arba Minim had reached Yerevan. The Chief Rabbi of Armenia, Gersh Meir Burshtein, and Chabad Lubavitch representative led the participants in song and everyone was invited to be able to perform the blessing on the Lulav and Etrog the next day on the only set in the country of Armenia.
