IMF DEPUTY DIRECTOR-MANAGER HIGHLY APPRECIATES ECONOMIC REFORMS IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JULY 20. ARMINFO. Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan received today Deputy Director-Manager of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Augustin Carstens and the delegation accompanied him.

As ARMINFO was informed in Ministry’s press-service, Carstens noted that he aims to be acquainted with situation in Armenia and its abilities, as well as to discuss cooperation’s prospects with country’s leadership. He highly appreciated economical reforms in Armenia brought to stable economic growth, poverty reduction and strengthening of national currency. The sides exchanged in opinions on present situation and development prospects in Armenia. They also noted the importance of political reforms creating favorable conditions for effective realization of programs directed to country’s thorough development.
