Today Secretary of the RA Security Council attached to the President, Minister of Defense Serge Sargsyan received the UA Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary John Evans in connection with the introduction of the US newly appointed military attaché to Armenia, lieutenant colonel Russell Grimlane.
Minister Serge Sargsyan thanked the ex military attaché lieutenant colonel Geoffrey Predmore mentioning that during the 2,5 years if his activity in Armenia the Armenian-American cooperation in the military field has been enhanced considerably.
Referring to the failure of the Armenian peaceful mission to leave for Iraq on July 10 the Ambassador informed that it is accounted for by technical reasons.
At present the RA Defense Ministry and American Assembly are trying to organize the departure of the Armenian soldiers on July 13.
