The Chess 2005 Championship of Armenia in which 12 chess-players took part has finished. Gaining 7.5 points from 11 possible Ashot Anastasyan became Champion of Armenia for the 8th time lacking behind Henrik Gasparyan who has won the title for 10 times.
Ashot Anastasyan won the title for the first time in 0983, after which added his champion titles regularly.
In the finished championship Karen Asryan took the 2nd place, who, as well as Gabriel Sargsyan in the 3rd place, had won 7 points.
