YEREVAN, MARCH 30. ARMINFO. “I am deeply convinced that if Azerbaijan launches a war, Armenia will win a victory”, stated Armenian Defence Minister Serje Sargsyan answering parliamentarians’ questions within the frameworks of hearings on the Karabakh issue.
In his words, the victory’s value will depend on how much Armenian people and Armenia’s political forces will act together and secure Armenia’s rear. “If in country forms a situation like in Azerbaijan in 1992-1994, I am not sure in a victory. The Army takes part in a war, but a people win there”, Sargsyan stated. He also did not rule out a probability to resume a war as “nobody is insured against it”. Minister did not agree with a statement that there is a hard-edged war of civilization Karabakh. “I have always spoken about compromises since the times of active war operations, but “the saber possesses properties to become blunt”, he said.
