YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22. ARMINFO. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vardan Oskanian held a number of meetings with the leadership of Equatorial Guinea. ARMINFO was informed in the press office of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, the purpose of the visit to establish relations in various spheres with that African country and discussion of the further date of the Armenian pilots, arrested in Malabo. Former Ambassador of Armenia to Egypt and head of Armenian delegation to Equatorial Guinea, now Ambassador of Armenia to Bulgaria Sergey Manasarian accompany the foreign minister of Armenia.
On Feb 21 the foreign ministers of Armenia discussed with the foreign minister of that country the prospects of the development of bilateral relations and possibilities of cooperation in different spheres, and, especially in the sphere of education,, in particular, within framework of international organizations. A Memorandum on mutual understanding for holding consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries was signed as well. Oskanian also met with the prime minister of Equatorial Guinea, as well as prosecutor. issues of establishment of bilateral relations, formation of a necessary contractual field were discussed during the meeting. The participants of the meeting also discussed the issue of Armenian pilots accused of attempt of coup d’etat in that country. During the visit Vardan Oskanian have also met with the pilots.
