YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17. ARMINFO. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan expressed hope for implementation of the programs on reanimation of the five large Armenian enterprises transferred to Russia for exchange of Armenia’s state debt. Speaking at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Yerevan, Oskanyan noted that the Armenian party did not hope for restoration of production at these enterprises within the nearest future after the agreement of 2003. “I think this process has moved and it was discussed with Armenian President Robert Kocharyan today. This issue is also included in the agenda of the Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission and we are sure that everything planned will be realized finally,” Oskanyan said. He once more confirmed that as a result of implementation of “Assets for Debts” transaction with Armenia, $100 mln debt to Russia was written-off. The enterprise “Mars,” National Research Institute of Mathematical Machines, NRI Automatic Control Systems Hrazdan TPP and NRI of Material Study were transferred to Russia.
