$100,000 REQUIRED TO CONTINUE JOURNEY OF ARMENIAN SAILING VESSEL `CILICIA´ OVER 7 SEAS

YEREVAN, JANUARY 25. ARMINFO. In May, 2005 the Armenian sailing vessel “Cilicia” intends to continue a jorney over 7 seas, for which about 100,000 USD will be required, President of the club “Ayas” Karen Balayan informed ARMINFO.

According to him, this time, the command intends to go around Europe and to reach Amsterdam – the capital of the Netherlands. If the weather is favorable, the vessel will visit about 30 ports. The jorney will last four months, afterwards they plan to wait till spring in a port of Amsterdam.

To note, according to the present decision of the Armenian Government, 32,9 mln AMD (about 75,000 USD) are allocated from the emergency funds of the government for both the preparations for the secong phase of sailing and the publishing of Zori Balayn’s book “Cilicia and “Cilicia””.
