ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT´s DEPUTY AND HIS SON, DETAINED IN UAE, ARE RELEASED ON WRITTEN UNDERTAKING NOT TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24. ARMINFO. Deputy of Armenia’s National Assembly Hakob Hakobyan and his son, recently detained in the United Arab Emirates, were released today on a written undertaking not to leave the country, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hamlet Gasparyan told ARMINFO.

He noted that, nevertheless, they will stay in the UAE till investigation is concluded. According to him, the friend of the deputy, detained along with them, is still in the investigation ward. To note, according to unconfirmed information, H. Hakobyan, his son and his friend were arrested in Abu Dhabi on accusation of stealing of clothes in the local “Wili” supermarket.
