$2 MILLION FOR 2005

In 2005 “Eurasia Fund” will finance programs in Armenia costing $ 2 million. During 2004 70 projects making $ 1,5 million were implemented by financing of the fund. 25 programs of $ 600.000 were approved for financing. “Eurasia Fund” representatives have today introduced the data in “ArmenPress” Press Hall.

According to Ara Nazinyan, Director of Fund Representatives in Armenia, 2/3 of the financed projects is fulfilled in districts. Sums are envisaged to allocate for improving the district newspapers next year. “Few newspapers get to districts from Yerevan”, Mr. Nazinyan says.

During 2005 “Eurasia Fund” will continue supporting small and middle-sized business undertakings, stimulate establishment of networks between Municipalities.

Since 1995 to present day “Eurasia Fund” have allowed Armenia 600 grants of more than $ 11 million. Fund representatives say grants are donated based upon merits.

Organization guide mentions that husbands, wives, parents, uncles, aunts and other relatives of fund employees have no right to enjoy financing by “Eurasia Fund”.
