YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29. ARMINFO. On the results of the first quarter of 2004, Power Networks of Armenia cjsc has sold product worth a total 35.255 bln drams (over $700 mln), providing 7.3% growth as against the same period of 2003, and is the leader in the economy of Armenia as regards the selling of the product. The data of the Armenian-European policy and legal advice center prove.
According to him, Armenia Telephone Company JV cjsc ranks the second – 26.078 bln drams (+22.6%), ArmRosgasprom ranks the third – 23.118 bln drams (-14.5%), then follow the companies Lori Ltd and Shoghakn cjsc, engaged in working ot precious stones – 19.781 bln drams (-12.3%) and 14.977 bln drams (-37.5%) respectively, RusAl-ArmenAl cjsc ranks the sixth – 11.962 bln drams (+58.2%), Flash Ltd ranks the seventh – 10.936 bln drams (+45.5), eighth – Yerevan brandy company cjsc – 10.386 bln drams (+42.3%), ninth – Factory of pure iron ojsc – 8.194 bln drams (+90.8) and Armenian copper programs cjsc ranks the tenth – 7.866 bln drams (+180). The companies “Arevakn” Ltd, Apaven Ltd, Arsoil cjsc, DCA cjsc, Araratcement cjsc, Yerevan jewelry plant-1, Coca-Cola Bottlers Armenia cjsc, Dimotech cjsc, Mika-Cement cjsc and Kotayk Ltd form the second top ten. The total volume of selling of the products of the aforementioned 20 companies in the first quarter of the current year made up 190.445 bln drams.
As regards the size of total assets the first top ten of largest companies of Armenia form: 1) ArmRosgasprom – 163.918 bln drams, 2) ArmenTel – 128.363 bln drams, 3) Power networks of Armenia – 85.538 bln drams, 4) Yerevan brandy company – 43.168 bln drams, 5) RusAl-ArmenAl – 25.405 bln drams, 6) Armenia copper programs – 16.807 bln drams, 7) Coca-cola bottlers Armenia – 8/936 bln drams, 8) Kotayk – 7.02 bln drams, 9) Araratcement – 5.12 bln drams and 10) Factory of pure iron – 4.55 bln drams.
