YEREVAN (YERKIR) – The government of China has decided to grant $1.2 million in technical and economic aid to Armenia, Chinese President Hu Jintao said at his meeting with Armenian President Robert Kocharian on Monday, Armenpress reported. The Chinese president called the move “a sign of friendship between the two nations.”
The Armenian president is in China on a state visit.
“We are ready to invest in Armenia and participated in development of the country’s infrastructure,” Hu Jintao mentioned.
A large number of Armenian students study in China, and China, in turn, plans to send students to study in Armenia, he added.
