Alcatel French company concluded with Armentel a contract on supply of up-to-date communication systems to the sum of 2 million euros. The contract provides for modernization and expansion of the Armentel network. It should be noted that implementation of new technologies will help to improve the communication quality and offer new telecommunication services to the residents of the northern regions of Armenia. The realization of the project is to be finished in August 2005. Let us remind that due to the decision by RA government Armentel will preserve the status of monopolist in the country at least till October 12.
