ARMENIAN-TURKISH BORDER MUST BE RE-OPENED: JOHN EVANS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 15. ARMINFO. The Armenian-Turkish border must be re-opened, US Ambassador to Armenia John Evans told a press conference.

According to him, the USA has for a long time assisted the process of establishing relations between Armenia and Turkey. “We think that the Armenian-Turkish border blocked by Turkey must be re-opened, which is of benefit not only to Armenia, but also to the eastern regions of Turkey,” Evans said. He added that representatives of official Washington often discuss this issue with their Turkish colleagues.
