LA CRESCENTA — Four of five men arrested over the past two months in connection with a string of burglaries targeting jewelry stores that allegedly netted millions of dollars will be arraigned today in Los Angeles Superior Court.
One of the stores hit during the string of robberies was Aviani Jewelers in La Cañada Flintridge.
Ashot Avoyan, 42; Suren Melkonyan, 46; Arsak Grygoryan, 36; and John Nazarian, 32, are set to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court. All are being held without bail at Men’s Central Jail.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s and Los Angeles Police detectives are still looking for the purported ringleader of the group, Ara Karapetian, 42, a Glendale business owner.
