STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 9. ARMINFO. A 21-year-old soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, a citizen of Baku, Anat Mishaoghli Samedov, was detained on the contact-line of the NKR and Azerbaijani Armed Forces on August 6 when trying to cross the boundary.
According to ARMINFO’s special correspondent to Stepanakert, the Karabakh authorities informed the ICRC and OSCE of the fact of detention. At present, the law-enforcement bodies of NKR investigate the reasons and circumstances of the incident. The NKR authorities provided the ICRC employees with a possibility of visiting the detainee, as well as they expressed readiness to send him back to the Azerbaijani authorities if they apply for it.
