arminfo: AZERI MP CONCERNED OVER REPORTS THAT AZERI PETROL IS SUPPLIED TO ARMENIA

YEREVAN, APRIL 10. ARMINFO. Azeri MPs are very much concerned over the reports that Azeri petrol is supplied to Armenia.

A few days ago the financial police of Georgia sealed the warehouses and documents of the oil refining company VIVA located in the territory of the former Mtskheta oil base. A week ago VIVA prepared 7 cisterns with 450 tons of petrol for sending them to Armenia. The police believes that the petrol was not produced by the company and is contraband from Azerbaijan. It was supposed to be transported to Armenia via Georgia.

Ekho newspaper (Baku) reports that Friday MP Asim Mollazade said that the reported incident is not the first one. He is surprised that the Azeri police do nothing about the problem. This all is happening amid the active discussions of the possible opening of the Turkish-Armenian border. Today Armenia is more interested in preserving the channel of fuel supplies from Azerbaijan than in opening its border with Turkey. Azerbaijan should investigate the problem and punish those guilty of “supplying fuel to an aggressor.”
