YEREVAN, APRIL 7, ARMENPRESS: Armenian president Robert Kocharian met today with around 20 heads of rural communities who arrived in Yerevan from across the country, to discuss, as Kocharian’s press office said “the current state of things in their communities and their problems and hear their views about what the government should do to help resolve them.”
Kocharian was also quoted as saying that the country has all possibilities for sustainable and effective development. He added that the improved local-self management legislation is a good tool to foster larger involvement of rural communities in development projects.
