YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26. ARMINFO. The “World Press Photo 2003” exhibition is to be held at the Yerevan “Moscow” movie-house on March 4-29.
The Caucasian Institute of Mass Media reports that the exhibition is one of the most prestigious events in journalistic photo-art. The photographer Erik Grigorian from the USA won the Grand Prix for a black-and-white photo in 2003. The photos that won prizes in 2003 will be displayed at the exhibition, which is to be held in over 80 countries. 3,913 photographers from 118 countries took part in the contest “Best photo of 2003”. 55 photographers from 21 countries received prizes in nine categories.
The “World press photo 2003” exhibition was first held in Yerevan last year, on the initiative of the Caucasian Institute of Mass Media.
