Armenia will not refuse to participate in the Cooperative Best Effort
2004 military exercises that will be held in Azerbaijan within the
framework of NATO’s Partnership for Peace programme, the chief of the
general staff of the Armenian armed forces, Col-Gen Mikael Arutyunyan,
said in Yerevan today, according to Mediamax news agency.
Commenting on the possible transference of the Cooperative Best
Efforts 2004 to another country, Mikael Arutyunyan stated that such a
possibility should not be completely ruled out. At the same time, this
decision will be made by the NATO leadership, he stressed.
