arminfo: ARMENIAN CHURCH TO BE FOUNDED IN BELARUS

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 25. ARMINFO. An Armenian church is shortly to be founded in Belarus, Head of the Armenian community in Belarus Georgy Yeghiazarian stated at a meeting of community representatives with Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Artur Baghdasarian today.

The meeting participants discussed Armenian-Byelorussian relations, stressing the Armenian community’s great role in the life of Byelorussian society. Artur Baghdasarian told his interlocutors about the political and economic situation in Armenia. He promised to send manuals and organize summer holidays for Armenian children. The Armenian community in Belarus numbers 30,000 members, has a Sunday school, and the dancing groups “Erebuni.”
