The official figures are in – the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority
reports that around Twenty-Five Thousand (25,000) people attended the
Armenian Cultural Festival, making it the biggest event in
Austral-Armenian History.

People from all over Sydney, both Armenian and non-Armenian, as well
as visitors and performers from Victoria, came together to enjoy the
sights, sounds and tastes of the Armenian Cultural Festival.

Vibrant, colourful stalls, professional entertainers, performers and
rich traditional foods complemented with a warm summer day that only
Sydney can offer provided the festival with a vibe that will live on
in times to come.

Australian Armenians had the chance to celebrate and revel in their
culture for a day. The greater Australian community enjoyed a rare
encounter with an ancient culture and for a fleeting moment, got the
chance to feel Armenian.

The organisers would like to thank all those who contributed and
participated in some way, as well as all those who attended, for
making the second Armenian Cultural Festival an unqualified success.

The Armenian Cultural Festival is a project of Hye Hoki, a network of
young Australian Armenians with an interest in keeping the Armenian
Spirit alive in Australia.
