armenpress: CHARLES AZNAVOUR AS FATHER GORIOT

PARIS, FEBRUARY 16, ARMENPRESS: Charles Aznavour, the world renowned French singer, born to an Armenian family, was chosen by producer Jacques Dercure to play the part of Father Goriot in a joint French-Romanian-Belgian production based on Balzac’s famous novel.
The location of the new film, ordered by French France-2 TV Channel is Romania’s capital Bucharest. Dercure said that he had been dreaming about having Aznavour to act as Father Goriot for years. He said the 79-year old Aznavour is the most suitable actor to perform that role.
