Deputy foreign affairs minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov said Thursday that his government welcomes a proposal by the European Commission calling for restoration of railway communication between Armenia and Azerbaijan on condition that Armenia pulls out its troops from 5 of 7 occupied regions, bordering with the administrative borders of Nagorno Karabagh. Azimov said Azerbaijan wants it happen peacefully, as the outcome of negotiations.
